Savannah-Mrs. Ada J. Beasley, 94, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Candler Hospital.
Mrs. Ada was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse & Juranie James; her husband, Clem G. Beasley, Sr.; sons, Clem G. Beasley, Jr., and Jimmy R. Beasley; a grandson, Ted Opper, and siblings, Lois Sharpe and Cleve James. She was a member of the Port Wentworth First Baptist Church where she attended the Adult Sunday School Class. She participated in the National Senior Olympics, enjoyed fishing, playing games, square dancing, and especially bowling.
Survivors include her daughters, Dot Eck (Tom), and Debra Ely (Roy); grandchildren, Eric Eck, Hunter Eck, Laura Weatherford, Kyle Eck, Jarrad Beasley, Rebecca Beasley, Brandon Ely, and Tracy Rainey; several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Nadine Wilson, and Margaret Collins, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
