Agnew H. Newsome

Rincon – Agnew H. Newsome, 90, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Memorial Health.

The Ware County, GA native owned A.H. Newsome, Contractor (paint & wallpaper) for 45 years. Ag loved his family, Church family at Savannah Holy Church of God, and working in the yard, never considering it to be work but a pleasure. He was preceded in death by his son, Tony Newsome and grandson, Jesse Newsome.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ella Mae Hatfield Newsome; sons, Jeffrey Newsome(Donna) and John Newsome (Marie); daughter, Christa Gay; daughter-in-law, Julie Newsome; grandchildren, Ashley (Kaci), David (Erin), Caleb (Candice), Hunter (Brandy), Joseph, Daniel, Jacob, Rebecca (Addis), and Rachel; great-grandchildren, Allysa and Michael; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be private.

Graveside services will be 11 am Monday, August 10, 2020 at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
