Guyton-Lieutenant Alan Keith Elliott, 47, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at his home.
He was a Lieutenant Detective with the Bloomingdale Police Department and a member of Acacia # 452 F&AM Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his father, James Darrell Elliott. He enjoyed shooting, fishing, watching football and was a big UK basketball fan.
Survivors include his children, Kaitlyn and James Elliott; girlfriend and her son, Leslie Jackson and Cooper; mother, Joanne Elliott; sister, Becky Elliott Horowitz; nieces, Olivia and Abigail Tubman, and Emily Horowitz.
The visitation will be at the First Baptist Church of Rincon on Saturday from 12 until 2 p.m. followed by the funeral at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
