Guyton – Albert Preston "A.P." Jones, 77, passed away peacefully at home August 28 after a long battle with heart and kidney disease.

He had retired from American District Telegraph (ADT) after 30 years. He was an avid race, Atlanta Braves, and Georgia Dawgs fan, but he loved his family most of all.  He was a member of North Salem Baptist Church since childhood. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Dewey, Sr. and Maggie Stringer Jones; and brothers, Wilfred and James Dewey, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Dale Cubbedge Jones; children, Anthony Jones (Julie), and Kathy Jones Williford (Clint); grandchildren, Casey Jones, Stephen Jones, Ajay Page (Alexis), Frankie Page (Kayleigh), Wyatt Jones, Cameron Jones; great-grandchildren, Kailie Jones, Layla Jones, Tristan Jones, Emma Page; brothers, Olan Jones, Alton Jones (Sandra); sisters, Geraldine Foreman, Frances Hatfield, Mildred Helmey (Snookie); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 4-6 pm Friday, September 2, 2022 at North Salem Baptist Church.

Memorial service: 6 pm Friday, September 2, 2022 at North Salem Baptist Church.
