Albert "Al" Baker Bodie, Jr.
"Rincon, Georgia - Mr. Albert B. Bodie, Jr.,70, passed away peacefully in his home on August 4, 2016. He was born in Columbia, South Carolina on October 29, 1945. He was a graduate of Savannah High School Class of 1963. Al received his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Armstrong State College and had a long career at Gulfstream Aerospace where he retired after many years of service in the purchasing department.
Al was known for his larger than life personality and his unique sense of humor. He was a hard-working man who always provided for his families. He had a gracious smile that could light up a room and he never met a stranger. Al enjoyed his pro-wrestling, softball, tennis and his beloved motorcycles.
He always said he didn't need sons because his daughters could do anything boys could do.
He is survived by his wife Debbie Bodie and his four daughters.
Stacey Lynn (Bodie) Dunsworth (Dave), Shannon Leigh (Bodie) Mixon (Ron), Stephanie Lori Bodie, and Quinn Lynnette (Bodie) Meyers and his 5 grandchildren. Dylan Isaiah, Sydney Abigail, Madeline Grace, Emma Caroline and Tanis Avery.
In remembrance of his life there will be a small informal graveside gathering at Lower Black Creek Cemetery on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 2pm."
