Faulkville-Mr. Aldon Lee Bowen, 73, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Aldon was born on December 17, 1939 in Clarkesville, GA to the late Effert & Melvina Bowen. He was a member of the Dean Forest Baptist Church and the Rifleman's Assn. He was a member of the Boilermakers Local Union # 26 for 40 years. He dedicated his life to his family as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Lee Ann Bowen; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa & Rusty McClain, Kathy & Tony Creech and Michelle & David Bussell; grandchildren, Mindi & Jonathan Rahn, Ashleigh & Wayne Foskey, Alec Creech, Sydnie Jenkins and Haleigh Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Jaydon and Madilyn Rahn; brother, Angelo Bowen (deceased); sisters, Ruby Smiley and Sylvia Drass as well as extended family.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. on Monday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
