Mr. Alfred L. Cox
Savannah-Mr. Alfred L. Cox, 94, died on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at his son's residence.
Mr. Cox lived in Savannah for many years and was self-employed in the dry cleaning
business. He was a member of Port Wentworth United Methodist Church as well as the
Alee Temple. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jerlene Couey Cox.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Emory "Ed" & Gwen Cox of Guyton
and Louie & Billie Cox of Port Wentworth; daughter, Lawana McGrew of Melbourne,
FL; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at
Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
