Obituary
Pooler-Alfred P. Herten Sr., 79, passed away in the presence of his family on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Alfred was born in Ameln Germany, in 1937. After completing his basic educational requirements, he completed his trade school program to pursue his career as a Master Butcher. Alfred immigrated to the United States in 1963, where he found work as a butcher, before opening his own butcher store in Hoboken, New Jersey. He continued his career as a butcher until 2002, upon retiring and moving to Georgia.
Alfred is survived by his two sons and daughters in law, Freddy and Julie Herten of Guyton, GA and Josef and Jennifer Herten of New Haven, CT, and his three granddaughters Marina Herten, Kirsten Herten, and Aubree Herten.
