Alice Maryland Mixson Bennett
Rincon – Alice Maryland Mixson Bennett, 80, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2013.
Alice was born March 18, 1933 in Early Branch, SC to the late Gilbert Morris Mixson and Josephine Willingham. She was a homemaker, member of the Rincon United Methodist Church, the U.M.W., the Rincon Garden Club, served as the secretary of the Rincon Lions Club, and former board member for the Chatham/Effingham/Liberty County Library.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Bennett; son, Austin "Buddy" Rogers; grandchildren,
Lil Bobby Rogers, Mandi Allen, and Robbie Moore.

Survivors include her, daughter, Monique Rogers of Rincon, son, Hubert Outler (Laura) of Springfield, son, Tony Bennett (Jill) of Hardeeville, SC, daughter, Melody Moore (Tom) of Rincon, son, Stevie Bennett (Rebecca) of Pineora, daughter, Tammy Burnsed (Corbin) of Rincon; grandchildren, Jamie Sanders, Stacy Rogers Varney, Matthew Rogers, Michael Garrett Rogers, AnnaLeesa Rogers, Justin Dyson, Dena Sanchez, Dana Marshall, Josh Moore, Victoria & Paul Burke, Loren Bennett, Courtney Carson, Junior, Madison, Kayla, Katelyn, Nathan Burnsed, Brooke & Lane Outler; great-grandchildren, Ashley Sanders, Taylor Marshall, Emily Sanchez, Annabell Sanchez, Maddox Varney, Destiny Burnsed, Lance Perkins, Abigail, Addison, Madilynn, & Triton Burnsed, & Khloe Mallard; sister, Eleanor Helmly of Rincon; & a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Rincon United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bennett will lie in state from 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in Rincon Cemetery.
