Springfield – Alice Renee Whittemore Harrelson, 74, passed away June 23, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family.

The Chatham County native was a homemaker who loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and dog, Belle.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Geroge Edward and Iris G. Whittemore.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, William Powell Harrelson, Sr.; children, Jamie Davis (Amy) and Hayley Anderson (John); grandchildren, Parker Davis, John Ryan Anderson and Abbey Anderson; sons, William Powell Harrelson, Jr. (Terry) and Patrick Harrelson (Stephanie); 6 grandchildren, Hunter Harrelson, Kourtney Harrelson, Kayla Harrelson, Christopher Harrelson, Jesse Harrelson, and Trenton Harrelson; she leaves behind a special niece, London Thuan; cousin, Rebecca Tanner; and her special caregiver, Eva Goldwire.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 12 noon in the chapel.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
