Mr. Allen B. Harvey, Sr., 77, of Clyo, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Allen was born in Quincy, Massachusetts on July 5, 1946.  He joined the United States Marine Corp on August 23, 1966 where he proudly and selflessly served in the Vietnam War.  Allen loved spending time with his family, fighting for veterans rights and riding his trike.  He was a tough old marine with the demeanor to match.  Allen will be forever missed.  The hole he leaves in the hearts of those who loved him will never be filled.  Semper Fi, you did your time in hell, wait for us at the gates daddy!

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Allen B. Harvey Jr. (Nina); daughter and son-in-law, Angel H. Stevenson (Bryan); grandchildren, Allen Harvey III, Michael Dodd, Richard Harvey, David Stevenson Jr., Jessie Smith, Joseph Smith, Tiffiney Sample, and Seville Johnson; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby Harvey (Carol) and Richard Harvey (Robbie), as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Harvey, and a grandson, Travis Smith.

The visitation will be on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Allen's life will be on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
