Port Wentworth – Alma Edwards, 71, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Candler Hospital.

The Hampton, SC native was a retired waitress and a member of Landmark Baptist Church. She loved her family, church family, and serving others. Alma especially loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and watching them play ball and other activities. She also loved hearing Kayla and the girls sing in church. Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Edwards; her parents; and several siblings.

She is survived by her children, Tim Edwards (Annette) and Michael Edwards (Tiffanie); sisters, Liz Mason, Linda Oxendine, and Margaret Boutwell; brother, Bartow Benton (Diane); seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 4 -6 pm Sunday, August 14, 2022 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 10 am Monday, August 15, 2022 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Effingham Memorial Gardens.
