Alma Driggers Gill, 85, of Rincon, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on August 9, 2023, surrounded by her loving children.
Born in Reidsville, Georgia, she spent her early years in and around Baxley and Glennville, Georgia. A devoted member of Life Springs Worship Center, Alma was a homemaker who also explored a variety of careers, including seamstress and butcher.
Known for her passion for flowers gardening, and planning family and social events, she was an active church member and an extraordinary cook. Alma's love and adoration for babies and little children were evident to all who knew her, and she could never resist showering them with affection.
She is survived by her children, JoAnn Benton, Patricia Burnsed, Linda Jeffers, Pamela Nethercutt, and Tim Gill, along with 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Alma also leaves behind a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
Alma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hardy T. Gill, Sr.; her parents, William S. Driggers and Lela Wilson Driggers; sisters, Lucille Stanley, Mattie Ruth Sharpe, Ruby Stone, Josie Mosley, and Sally Jane Kicklighter.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and warmth will continue to inspire those who were privileged to have known her. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this time of loss and celebration of life.
Visitation: 10:30 -11:30 am Saturday, August 12, 2023 in the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11:30 am Saturday, August 12, 2023 in the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Effingham Memorial Gardens
