Mrs. Alma Sikes Zettler of Guyton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 surrounded by loving family.

She was born on October 25, 1926 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Virgil and Annie Bell Sikes.  She was a member of Bethesda at Midland Church for over 40 years where she was a member of the Shirley Sharpe Sunday School Class, adult choir, and women's association.  She graduated from Commercial High School in 1945.  She worked for the Savannah Chatham County Board of Education as an Executive Secretary for 30 years.

She is survived by her children, Richard Howard Zettler (Heidi), Wanda Griffin (Tommy-deceased), and Susan Elliott (David); grandchildren, Melanie Bruno (Craig), Jeremy Zettler (fiancé, Marnie), Katie Osteen (Jay), Jamie Griffin (Anna), Lisa Griffin, Michael Crawford, Stephen Crawford (Stacy), Maggie McManus (Eric), and David Elliott (Hayden); 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by the love of her life, William A. (Jack) Zettler, her parents, Virgil and Annie Bell Sikes, brother, William Harry Sikes, sister, Helen Sikes Collins, son-in-law, Tommy Griffin, and grandson, Tony Griffin.

The family would like to thank Michelle and Dori with Amedisys Hospice, and Christy, Luke, and Yolanda with Pruitt Health Systems for the love and care shown to Mrs. Alma.

The visitation will be on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral will be on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
