Alvin Eugene "Al" Johnson, Jr.
Port Wentworth – Alvin Eugene "Al" Johnson, Jr., 56, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Candler Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
The Chatham County native was a member of Port Wentworth United Methodist Church and employed with Savannah Sugar Refinery for 38 years. Al enjoyed spending time outdoors and playing with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Jenny Myers Johnson; children, Jason Johnson, Jesse and Tabitha Johnson, Jordan and Adele Johnson; grandchildren, Kaleb, Kiersten, and Fischer; parents, A.E. (Gene) and Joyce Cooper Johnson; brothers, Chris and Kelli Johnson, and Danny Johnson; brothers-in-law, Whit Myers and Billy Myers; and numerous friends, nephews, and nieces.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Mizpah United Methodist Church Cemetery.
