Amelia B. Herrington

Springfield – Amelia B. Herrington, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Bloom of Hilton Head Island, SC, assisted living facility. She was 96 years old.

She was a member of Springfield United Methodist Church for over 40 years. She also volunteered at the Effingham Hospital Auxiliary. She was a skilled seamstress and managed the drapery departments at Levy's and Phillips Inc. in Savannah, GA. She sewed and did alterations for locals in Springfield.

She was predeceased by her parents, Hallman and Janie Berry, husband, Brantley Herrington, and brother, Horace Berry.

She is survived by a daughter, Marsha Phillips (Ronnie) and a son, Dawson Herrington (Angie). Also 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Special thanks to caregivers and staff at Bloom of Hilton Head and nurses of Tidewater Hospice.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Union Cemetery, Springfield, GA.
