Angela Hales Burns, 57, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at her home.  Angela, an Effingham native, graduated from Effingham County High School in 1985. Her smile and big personality is how everyone knew her. Angela found so much enjoyment in celebrations and had a gift for planning and making each one special in a big way. Traveling was one of her favorite things to do and in most recent years she has been on many fun trips with her son, mother, and sister's family. Angela loved attending concerts with her mother, often turning them into mini vacations. Family was everything to her and she was everything to them. As a Christian, Angela prayed for others and was very generous to family and people in need, often putting the needs of others ahead of herself. Her precious son, Ernie, was her everything to her and she loved him so. Angela adored her niece, Chloe, like she was her own daughter. She held a deep affection for cats, most especially her cat, Bradford.  Angela has served as the general manager of Exhilarate in Savannah, GA since 2020. She loved her job and found joy in working along side all of the Exhilarate staff.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  Angela was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Nelson Hales. Survivors include her son, Ernie Sims(Vanessa Garmon), her mother, Rachel Norton Hales, her sister, Holly Hales Carson(Donovan), and niece, Chloe Carson.  The visitation will be on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the funeral home.  The memorial service to honor Angela's life will follow at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  Remembrances can be made to one of Angela's most favorite places, the Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary in Jacksonville, Florida.  Thomas C.
