Angelia Taylor Jernigan, 61, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 after a long illness.
Angelia was born in Savannah, Georgia and was preceded in death by her parents, William Edward Taylor, Sr. and Ella Shearouse Taylor, a sister, Melissa Ann Taylor, and a brother, William Edward Taylor, Jr. Angelia was a life-long member of the Bloomingdale First Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and served numerous years as Music Director. She was talented with many gifts, and music was near the top of the list. She shared those gifts by teaching music at Mercer Middle School, Chatham Academy, West Chatham Middle School, South Effingham Middle School, and Ebenezer Elementary. Angelia also taught piano, enjoyed snow skiing and going on cruises.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Mitchell Jernigan, sister, Reba Holland (Jean), brother, Drexel Taylor (Jenni), as well as several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service to honor Angelia's life will be on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the Bloomingdale First Baptist Church located at 2 East Moore Street in Bloomingdale.
