Mrs. Anita Doreen Garrison, 80, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at her home.

Anita was born in Savannah, Georgia and was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Zydonyk and Barbara Beaufort Zydonyk; sister, Sandra Robarge; grandparents, Benjamin Coleman Beaufort and Evangeline Morgan Beaufort; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cecil Garrison and Carolynn Garrison.  Anita was a believer in Jesus and active in her local church.  She was a loving, caring, and compassionate wife, mother, and friend.  She would do anything to protect and support the people she loved, someone who exemplified unconditional love.  She enjoyed gardening and downtown Savannah.  She loved animals, most of all, her beagles, cats and her pet cougar.  She is going to be missed.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Ernest Frank Garrison; son, Christopher Kyle Garrison; daughter, Courtney Kendall Garrison; siblings, Joseph Zydonyk and Tash Zydonyk.

The visitation will be on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

The graveside funeral and burial to honor Anita's life will follow at 1 p.m. at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery located at 1336 Dean Forest Road in Garden City, Georgia with her son, Kyle Garrison, officiating.
