Savannah-Ms. Anna Gail Shuman, 69, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
She was born in Savannah to the late C.P. & Inez Rutland. She was also preceded in death by her son, Chris Shuman. She grew up at the First Baptist Church of Garden City, and later was a member of Silk Hope Baptist Church.
She was a 1968 graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College of Nursing, and retired after a 40-year career in psychiatric nursing. She worked as an RN at Georgia Regional Hospital, The Clark Center at Memorial Medical University, and Charter Behavioral Health.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Valerie & David McLaughlin; grandchildren, Bryson & Brayden; sister & brother-in-law, Kay & Len Jordan; nieces, Kim & Richard Melton, Lori & Marshall Jones, and Cynthia & Davis Roberson.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.
