Anne Morris Ellis
Garden City – Anne Morris Ellis, 89, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at her residence.
The Mt. Vernon native was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mollie C. Morris; and son, Morris Thigpen.
Survivors include her husband, Donald L. Ellis of Garden City; children, Rose (Kerry) Burnsed and Tommy Simmons both of Springfield; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Interment will be in Springfield Cemetery.
