Annie Joyce Kessler

Guyton – Annie Joyce Kessler, 90, passed away June 20, 2026. She was born September 8, 1935 in Tattnall County, grew up in Port Wentworth and move to Effingham County in 1960.

She was a member of Bethesda Church at Midland and worked for 10 years in the Effingham County Food Service Department at Marlow Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Eugene C. Kessler; her parents, Carl & Alma Jarriel; her brothers, Bernie and Don Jarriel; and her sister, Sue Cisco.

She is survived by her three children, Belinda Boyd, Cindy Chesler (John) and Timothy E. Kessler (Karen); brother, Keith Jarriel (Teresa); sister, Carleen Alford; nine grandchildren, Dennis Miller, Brent Wise, Wesley Wise, Adam Chesler, Justin Chesler, T.J. Kessler, Josh Kessler, Brittany Boyd and Taylor Buie; seven great-grandchildren, Abby Miller, Kessler Miller, Calli Kessler, Preston Kessler, Jaxon Chesler, Emersyn Chesler, and Brynson Chesler.

Visitation; 11 am – 12 Noon Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Bethesda Church at Midland.

Funeral: 12 Noon Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Bethesda Church at Midland.
