Mrs. Annie Miriam Morrow
Port Wentworth-Mrs. Annie Miriam Morrow, 77, died on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at
Candler Hospital with her family at her side.
Mrs. Morrow was born in Alabama and had lived in Port Wentworth for the past 33
years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rincon and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Selton Dee Morrow, Sr. and she enjoyed
reading, searchword puzzles and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Jessie Irene Pennington, Selton Dee Morrow, Jr.,
Kenneith Wayne Morrow, Nancy Anne Clayton and Vicky Lynn Morrow Stafford;
grandchildren, Laura Vazquez, Gary Clayton, Amy Chase, Frank M. Pennington, II,
Shanon Morrow, Jon Pennington, Christy Morrow Anderson, Holly Clayton, Selton Dee
Morrow, III, Josh Stafford and Chance Stafford; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, J.B.,
Johnny and Kenneth Vaughn; sister, Linda Andrews and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation for Mrs. Morrow will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the
Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel in Pooler.
The funeral to celebrate Mrs. Morrow's life will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2008 in
the chapel of the funeral home with Dr. Ben Martin officiating and her grandsons serving
as pallbearers. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean
Forest Road.
