Mr. Anthony "Tony" Di Benedetto, 78, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Tony was born in Manhattan, New York to the late Vito and Sadie Vitale Di Benedetto. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Di Benedetto. Tony was proud of his Sicilian heritage and strong family traditions. While growing up he had fond memories of the time that he spent with his grandparents. His first trip to the south was at Paris Island while serving his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a master carpenter, having worked on New York's Twin Towers in the 1970's and was also an actor. While acting, he appeared in over 40 movies, performed on Broadway, as well as multiple TV shows. He was a member of Risen Savior Lutheran Church. He will be remembered for being a man full of respect, love, compassion, strong family values, amazing story telling, and loved by all..
Survivors include his beautiful wife, Bonnie Di Benedetto; children, Anthony Di Benedetto, Gregory Di Benedetto, Noelle Di Benedetto, Carrie Di Benedetto, Raven Di Benedetto, and Alexander Di Benedetto; step-children, Freddie Davis, and Whitney Davis, and 14 grandchildren.
The memorial service to honor Tony's life will be on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 4 p.m. at Risen Savior Lutheran Church located at 1755 Quacco Road in Pooler, Georgia.
Because of the generosity of an organ donor, Tony received a new heart in 2010 on Easter Sunday. In lieu of flowers we ask that you please consider giving to Donate Life America (donatelife.net) in his memory.
