Anthony Mark Venier (Tony) of Pooler, Georgia, formerly of Lexington, Massachusetts died peacefully on February 14, 2025 after an eight week battle with pneumonia and other complications.  He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Catherine B. (MacDonald) Venier, and two sons and grandchildren, Mark and his wife Mari Nishiuchi Venier, grandson Makoto and granddaughter Manane of Cerritos, California.  And son Matthew and his wife, Faith Crowell Venier and grandsons Ronan and Marko of Lancaster, Massachusetts.  Tony is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Ettore Venier and older brother Christopher H. Venier.  He is survived by brother Jonathan P. Venier and three sisters Faith Fabrega, Carolyn Johnson and Diane Rose along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Tony was born in Newton, MA, grew up in Framingham and later Lincoln, MA.  He and Cathy owned and operated Theatre Camera Shop in Lexington center from the early 1970's until its closing in 2006.  Tony had a wide variety of loves and interests from gardening and fishing to camping with his sons and many friends in the North Maine Woods and cooking over a campfire.  He accomplished many home projects and renovations thru the years and cooked amazing meals for friends and family.  His fish stew or pasta with Bolognese sauce will be greatly missed.  Moving to Georgia during Covid in 2020 he and Cathy enjoyed the year round warm weather and meeting new friends and neighbors in their community by sitting on their front porch in the late afternoon.  Some nights they would gather a group of ten to twenty neighbors enjoying a chat and a glass of wine.  A Celebration of his life will be planned for this summer in Massachusetts.  Thomas C.
