Garden City-Anthony Scot Woods, 43, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016.
Scot was born in Savannah and was preceded in death by his step-father, Delmas L. "Hoppy" Sims. He attended various Baptist churches throughout his life, was a caregiver with a heart of gold who loved his family and friends. He was an avid Nascar fan, was a longtime crew chief with the Bazemore Racing Team, and also won the Craftsman Crew Chief of the Year award. Scot never met a stranger. He was a perfect gentleman with loving attributes. He was a beautiful soul that will be missed immensely. Scot loved the Lord, praying for, and caring for others. Spending time with his family and friends, always thinking of others first. We will miss his baby blues and unforgettable smile. Scot was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, "To know him was to love him".
Survivors include his mother, E. Diane Sims; father, Preston Jake Woods; brothers, Keith & Joy Woods, and their children, Kaylan & John Paul Moore, Brandon & Brad Woods; Lee & Laura Woods, and their children, Christian, Zoey, Owen, Carson, and Lila; sisters, Kimberly & Ron Sass, and their children, Parker & Ryan, and Teresa & Jeff Warren, and their children, Lawson, Brittany, and Austin; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, including Ronnie Hulsey.
