April Hope Sheffield Bolton, 39, of Pooler, GA went home to be with her Lord on October 27, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. She graduated with Honors from Armstrong State University and held a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. As a Nurse, she found her calling advocating on behalf of the terminally ill through her more than 12 years as a Hospice RN. April was a devoted follower of Christ. Inspired by her faith, she did Medical Missionary work in Romania and prior to her illness was actively involved in feeding the hungry & homeless in the Savannah area. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Sheffield. April is survived by her Husband Lee Bolton, her Mother Joan Sheffield, her Sister Rhonda Sheffield, and her beloved dogs, Winston, Ming, & Piglet. There will be a Viewing at 10am on Tuesday, October 31 , 2017 immediately followed by her Funeral Service at 11am. Both will be held at Thomas Strickland Funeral Home West Chatham Chapel, 901 Highway 80 West, Pooler, GA. April will be laid to rest at 5pm on Tuesday at Fender Cemetery located at the corner of US 221 and Old River Road, two miles east of Lakeland, GA alongside generations of her family.
