Obituary
POOLER: Mrs. Arlene A. Newman, 56, died Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Candler Hospital.
A native of Forsyth, Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, Dudley V. Anderson and Johnnie W. Anderson and her son, Douglas G. Newman. She was a homemaker and a member of Dean Forest Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Richard A. Newman, Sr. of Pooler; daughters, Julie McDermott of Rincon, Joy Temples of Rincon. Whitney Diana (Steven) of Pooler; step-children, Lori Parkhurst (Ronnie) of Guyton and Richard A. Newman, Jr. (Kim) of Rincon; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Glenda Anderson (Larry) of Savannah, Jane Lee of MO., twin sister, Darlene McGowan of NC; brother, Gene Anderson of Pooler and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road
