Mr. Arthur E. "Art" Patton, Jr., age 77, of Bloomingdale, went to his heavenly home December 16, 2018.  Art served in the U. S Army after college, then made a long career as an airline transport pilot and flight instructor, and also Director of Flight Operations.  He was preceded in death by his brother, David Patton.  He is survived by his wife of over 27 years, Susan Patton, of Bloomingdale; son, Parris Patton of Greensboro, NC; niece, Sherry Patton; nephews, Gerald Patton and Jeff Patton.  A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 20 at 3:00 PM in Alpha United Methodist Church, 106 Hwy 80  Bloomingdale, GA 31302, with Rev. Matt Stout officiating. In lieu of flowers please send remembrances to Alpha United Methodist Church.
