Bloomingdale-Mr. Arthur E. Duke, Jr., "Duke", 85, passed away on Thursday, December
16, 2010 at Hospice Savannah.

Duke was preceded in death by his parents, Lula Mae & Webster Sapp and a brother,
Rholan Duke. He retired from Georgia Ports Authority Police and served his country in
both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. Duke was a very special and loving man who
loved his family with great passion.

His survivors include his wife, Frances C. Duke; sons, Dennis Duke (Claudia) and
Thomas Wiggins (Kay); daughters, Dian LaRoe (Donnie Harper) and Rita Wiggins;
grandchildren, Shawn Duke (Melissa), Kevin Duke (Crystal), Trae Gurley (Jessica),
Christie Dossey (Beau), Thomas Wiggins, Jr., Brianna Stapleton and Justin Wiggins;
seven great-grandchildren; brother, Daniel N. Sapp (Susan); two aunts and several
cousins and his extended family, Jennifer, Kip, Kayla and Shelby Spence, Sherry & Paul
Stapleton, Kelly Pope, Theresa & Bill Jackson, Mary Perks, Glenda & Mark Wafford,
Danielle Smith, Kip Spence, Jr. (Stacey) and five loving dogs, Reno, Honey, Vegas,
Bandit and Angel.

Visitation: 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of the funeral home with entombment to follow at
Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery with military honors.
