Arvin D. Spell
Guyton- Arvin D. Spell, 81, died Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Landmark Hospital.
The Ware County native was a retired diesel mechanic with Hertz Rental Equipment and had retired from the U.S. Army, having served during Vietnam. He had been married to Nell Spell for 49 ½ years before her death in 2007. Before the completion of his life, he committed himself to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Survivors include his children, Kenneth Spell (Tracy), Cathey Burkett, Donna Purvis (Gary); grandchildren, Jerome Burkett, Michael Purvis, Jana Reid, Jake Purvis, Mykenze Spell, and Zachary Spell; 8 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Dunaway; a brother, Mac Spell; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service: 10 am Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
