Springfield– Ashlyn Grace Couey, 17, passed away Saturday morning, April 7, 2012 in her home. Ashlyn faced an extraordinary amount of medical challenges. She faced each challenge with grace, dignity, and a bright smile that was contagious. Her love for life, family, and God was evident and touched the lives of many. We pray that you will always remember and share in her joy for life.

Survivors include her parents, Tim & Lesa Couey of Springfield; grandparents, Delbert & Mary Jane Duff of Clyo and Rev. Charles & Rosa Couey of Lady Lake, FL; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2011 at the funeral home.

Funeral Service: 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2011 at Rincon Baptist Temple.

Interment: Effingham Memorial Gardens
