Mr. Aubrey C. Dyess, 84, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at his home.

He was born in Tattnall County to the late Louie and Etta Dyess.  He retired from the Chatham County Public Works Department after 30 years of service, and was currently working part-time at Keller Farms.  He loved being outdoors, especially gardening and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Diana Dyess; three children, Pam Potter (Phillip), Angela Wright (Lonny), and Del Dyess; grandchildren, Rachel and Brandon Wright; sister, Laverne Glisson, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The graveside funeral and burial will be private.

A Fisherman's Prayer

I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day, and when it comes to my last cast, I then most humbly pray: When in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep that in His mercy I be judged big enough to keep.
