Aubrey V. Sutton
Clyo – Aubrey V. Sutton, 77, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
The McIntosh County native served in the U.S. Marines and U.S. Army and loved his country. He retired from the grocery business in which he had worked in since the age of 13. He enjoyed his retirement and spending time with his brothers, was an avid fisherman, and avid penny poker player.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Vilous Sutton and Mary Hortense Cox Sutton; his wife, Sandra Kay Scott Sutton; sister, Josie Rowe; and his brothers, Bernas, Jimmy, and Donnie Sutton.
Survivors include his children, Kim (Ricky) Stalnaker, Kathy (Keith) Johnson, Scott (Alicia) Sutton; grandchildren, Rick and Zach Stalnaker, Josiah and Levi Sutton,Isabel, Ava, and Maelyn Johnson; sister, Glenda Stone; brother, Kenny Sutton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday followed by funeral services at 3 p.m. in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
