Avis Williams Shearouse
Fayetteville – Avis Williams Shearouse, 68, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family after a long illness.
The Screven County native was a homemaker and of the Assembly of God faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Moys L. and Myrl Frawley Williams; brother, Herman Williams; sisters, Barbara Walker and Charlotte Mock.
Survivors include her husband, Wendell P. Shearouse of Fayetteville; daughter, Tonya Shearouse of Jonesboro; son, Darnell Shearouse of Jacksonville, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday followed by funeral services at 3 p.m. in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery.
