Barbara Ann Barton

Guyton – Barbara Ann Barton, 76, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Effingham Extended Care.

The Effingham County native was a member of Bible Lutheran Church. She graduated from GA Teacher's College, was a retired P.E. Teacher, and a member of the retired Educators of Effingham County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph Thomas Barton and Anna Lee Trout Barton Jones; an aunt, Nellie Trout; a cousin, Kenny Heidt; and sister-in-law, Sandra Barton.

Survivors include her brother, Rudy Barton; nephews, Chris (Hannah) Barton and Todd (Kendall) Barton; great-nephew, Colby Barton; half-brother, Harris (Suzi) Jones; and numerous cousins.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2014 at Bible Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests remembrances be given to Bible Lutheran Church, 812 Blue Jay Road, Rincon, GA 31326.
