Mrs. Barbara Rizas Berger, MT (ASCP), 62, of Savannah, GA, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at her home after a long illness.

Barbara was born in Trenton, NJ and was preceded in death by her father, Thomas L. Rizas.  She had been employed as a Medical Technologist at St. Joseph's Hospital for over 30 years before retiring.  She loved cats and was part of the trap, neuter, and return of Feral cats.

Survivors include her husband, Russell Dominick Berger, Sr.; son, Matthew Cobb; mother, Ruth Rizas; sister, Patricia Rizas Santacroce; brother, Michael John Rizas; grandson, Joseph Michael Cobb; step-children, Kirsten Berger Turner and Russell Berger, Jr.; step-grandchildren, Brittney Jones, Jenna Berger and Colby Berger, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral will be on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with a private burial to follow at the Georgia Veterans Cemetery.
