Barbara Ann Mallard Wise
Rincon – Barbara Ann Mallard Wise, 80, passed away March 4, 2019 at Memorial Health.
Barbara was loving and accepting to everyone she met, both friends and family alike. She was never known to speak an ill word against anyone, choosing instead to support her loved ones with delicious food and warm hugs. Her grandchildren will always remember the gifts specially chosen for them by their Granny, and her recipes will be copied in her family's kitchens for generations to come. She was a woman made of faith and optimism, and nothing will be the same without her here.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Robert McCall Mallard, Jr. and Mazie Irene Joyner Mallard; first husband, Charles Levy Quattlebaum; and second husband, Quinton Wise; and her sister, Pauline Gatewood.
She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Grafton and her husband Scott Grafton, Charlotte Quattlebaum, and Rose Marie Quattlebaum; grandchildren, Eddie Davis and wife Hope, Emily Lee, Leah Grafton, Charlie Grafton and his wife Alledria, Jamie Grafton, Cheyann Quattlebaum, and Caleb Quattlebaum; great-grandchildren, Baylee Seckinger, Sofia LeGrand, Catherine Lee, Adalyn Jones, and Emma Boyd; sister, Becky Martin; brothers, Herbie Mallard, Harold Mallard, and Robbie Mallard; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A prayer for my Mother
Heavenly Father...the great I AM,
Thank you for my Mother Barbara..for her gentle kindness, loving heart and generosity. Thank You for her salvation, as we all fall short of Your Glory. Thank You for welcoming her into Your Kingdom, with the mercy and grace that You so freely give, if only we ask.
In the name of Your precious son, Jesus, I pray.
Amen
Charlotte Quattlebaum
