Barbara Jones Meyers

Mrs. Barbara Jones Meyers, 87, of Guyton, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at her home.

She will be missed by her husband of 66 years, James E. Meyers, Sr.; children, Jamie McLendon (Bill) and James E. Meyers, Jr. (Dawn H.); she was a wonderful “Mimi” to her grandchildren, Jenna Meyers (Russ), Kindall Harville (Andy), Kaleb McLendon, Cameron Meyer (Aaron), Marshall Meyers (Brooke), Marissa Meyers, Jackson Meyers and her eight great-grandchildren; brother, Alvin Ray Jones (Hazel) as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Barbara was born in Savannah, Georgia at the old Telfair Hospital. She was preceded in death by a son, Jason Jones Meyers; parents, Ephraim B. and Loraine Patrick Jones; brother, James B. Jones. She attended Sand Hill Baptist Church and retired from Palmer & Cay Insurance Company. She enjoyed going to the mountains, working in her yard, but most of all, spending time with her family. She will be missed.

The visitation will be on Friday, October 23, 2026 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The funeral to honor Barbara’s life will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at the Bethany Church Cemetery in Ellabell.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her wonderful care team for the love, kindness, and compassion they showed Barbara.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be given to Sand Hill Baptist Church, 1936 Sand Hill Road, Guyton, Georgia
