Waxhaw, NC – Barbara Jean Westfall Mays, 86, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022.

The West Virginia native retired from Gulfstream.  She was a member of Rincon United Methodist Church, enjoyed gardening, animals, and volunteering at Victim's Witness and her church after retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodward and Winnifred Pritchard Westfall; and her daughter, Bobbie Lynn Mays.

Survivors include her children, Leland Ferrell Mays and Melanie Mays Bryant (Chris); 4 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. in the chapel.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be given to Hospice of Union County, NC is appreciated.
