Springfield - Barry "Boo" Irwin Johnson passed away peacefully on December 6, 2023. He was born in Savannah on January 31, 1954.

Barry is survived by his nephew, Gary Johnson Jr. (Mallorie) and their three children; as well as, his brother, Mickey Johnson (Faye) and their children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, IB and Lillis Johnson, and his brother Gary Johnson.

He graduated from Effingham County High School. He worked at the Sugar Refinery and Harley Davidson. He left behind his closest companion, Adam, a blue and yellow macaw who he cherished for 42 years.

A graveside service will be held Monday December 11 at 2:00 at Union Cemetery in Springfield, Georgia.

Remembrances may be given to Hospice Savannah.
