Barton T. Rahn

Rincon- Barton T. Rahn, 84, passed away on June 25, 2012 at Effingham Hospital.

The Effingham County native was a member of Rincon Baptist Temple. He had served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post #209. He was an avid gardener that loved his wife and his family.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Dollie M. Rahn; son, John Rahn (Mary); daughters, Charlotte Johnson (Mikell), Patricia Dickey (Ritchie), Mary Nell Igou (Lavon), Sharon Moore, and Lynn Spikes (Roger); a sister, Clara Lowe; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 pm Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 11 am Thursday, June 28, 2012 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Rincon Cemetery
