Bloomingdale-Mr. Benjamin F. Amerson, Sr., 82, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011.
Mr. Benjamin was born in Thomaston, GA to the late Benjamin & Audry Amerson. He was a member of the Ash Street Baptist Church and retired from Gulfstream. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Marie Amerson of Bloomingdale; children, Benjamin F. Amerson, Jr. of Garden City, Betty Dowd of Bloomingdale, Belinda Madison of Norfolk, VA and Robert Amerson of Tybee Island; step-daughter, Jane Janssen of Clifford, Canda; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Wilcox of Garden City and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 1 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2011 in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery with military honors.
