Benjamin Eugene Rollins, 72, of Brunswick County, NC, went to heaven on October 5, 2016. Bennie was born in Savannah, Georgia, to Helen Rollins and Benjamin Rollins, Sr, who died before Bennie's birth. Bennie was raised by his mother and stepfather, Rev. Walter Rollins Although living his life as a mentally challenged individual, he touched the lives of many people with his joyfully, positive personality. Bennie is survived by his sister Nancy (Rollins) Conn of Oak Island, NC, brother Perry Rollins of Melrose, FL, brother John Rollins of Colorado Springs, CO, brother Mark Rollins of Spring, TX, and brother Tim Rollins of Hixson, TN. Bennie loved his twenty-three nephews and nieces. He had more than forty great nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held at Bennie's childhood church, Port Wentworth Alliance Church in Port Wentworth, GA, on November 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts, in Bennie's memory, be given to Lake Swan Camp of Melrose, FL (www.lakeswancamp.com), or Port Wentworth Alliance Church (via Strickland & Sons Funeral Home).
