Benjamin Anthony Rozier, 66, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Ben will be missed by his wife of 40 years, Cheryl Halla Rozier; children, Amanda Leigh Rush, Christian Joseph Rozier, Erick Ray Halla, Bryan Anthony Rozier, and Ashlea’ Denise Rozier Lackey; grandchildren, Taylor Messina, Madison Rush, Dalton Rush, Rylan Halla, Anzalyn Trowell, Alexander Rozier, Izabella Lackey, Scarlet Rozier, Bryson Rozier, Kellin Lackey, Brody Rozier, Khloey Rozier, and Giuliana Ellington; great-granddaughter, Lily Rush; mother, Margaret Rozier; sister, Kaye Rozier O’Neal; step-brothers, Randy Rozier, Emory Rozier, Jr. (Dee), and Greg Rozier, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Ben was born in Jesup, Georgia, was a graduate of Wayne County High School, and was preceded in death by his father, Emory Rozier, Sr. and his brother, William Godfrey Rozier. He served his country from October 16, 1978 through April 24, 1981 as a Telecommunications Operations Specialist in the United States Air Force. He was a former law enforcement officer of several agencies and was a former truck driver. Ben served as Mayor of the City of Bloomingdale from 2002-2005 then from 2014 – 2021 for three terms. He was the co-owner/operator of Southern Hospitality Baggage. He enjoyed rewatching old movies, he had the music taste of a late night DJ, he helped coach Little League Baseball, and he always made the decisions, good or bad. He didn’t know a stranger, was always willing to help out, and always had a joke for every occasion. He loved singing Karaoke and spending time with his family. He will be missed

The visitation will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The memorial service to honor Ben’s life will follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
