Benjamin J. Fountain, Sr., 68, passed away September 4, 2025 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

The Alabama native was a retired construction worker that loved football, reading, watching westerns, fishing, and laughing. He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton R. Fountain; brother, Clayton A. Fountain; sister, Becky Altman, and her husband, Sherman Griffis.

He is survived by his son, Ben Fountain (Marissa); mother, Ruth Jarriel; granddaughter, Olivia; sisters, Terry Wilson, Belinda Edwards (Roger), and Patricia Wright (Paul); and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside service will be 11 am Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
