Obituary
Mr. Bennie D. Foote, 84, of Guyton, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016.
Mr. Foote was born in Bulloch County to the late George Washington Foote and Janie Ruth Davis Foote. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Shuman Foote, and a daughter, Tamara Ann Foote. He attended Little Ogeechee Baptist Church for a number of years before joining the First Baptist Church of Springfield. He retired from the United States Army and served as a combat veteran during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He later became a self-employed "Jack of All Trades", doing carpentry, small engine repairs, and plumbing.
Survivors include his children, Debbie Freeman, Dewayne Foote, Janice Nease, and Linda Holbrook; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the funeral home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2016 in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Vernon Edenfield officiating. Pallbearers will be Jay Hendricks, Clay Holloway, Robert Salette, Dave Woods, Eric Foote, and David Foote. Burial will follow at Brooklet City Cemetery.
