Benny Ray Haar
Springfield, GA - Benny Ray Haar, 64, flew with the angels December 13, 2016.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He enjoyed being with family and cooking for everyone. He loved to travel to distant islands and beaches.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Margarete Graves and father, Martin Ben Haar.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janie; his sons, Christopher (Shannon), Jonathon (Gayle), and Tracy (Sandy); 5 grandchildren, Emily, Alex, Kane, Gage, and Whitney; and sister, Judy Sontag.
There will be a memorial service held on Tybee Beach Pier, Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 1 – 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Vascular Institute at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, GA.
