Berma M. Usher

Springfield–Berma M. Usher, 94, died Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Effingham Hospital.

The long time Effingham County resident was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield since 1933. She had been a member of the Senior Citizens of First Baptist, the WMU, the Welcoming Committee, and Sunbeam leader. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Rude Usher, Sr.; a son, Oswald Usher; and a sister, Aris Bragg.

Survivors include her sons, Willie Rude Usher, Jr. (Brenda), Bradwell Usher, and Robert E. Usher, all of Springfield; a sister, Norma Exley of Springfield; a brother, Barquell Maulden of Sandersville; grandchildren, Mike and Kevin Usher, and Jamie Monroe; great-grandchildren, Tynan and Jacob Monroe; "special daughter", Mary Calhoun of Springfield; "special son" , George C. Coleman; "special sister", Ruby Deloach; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 11 am Friday, September 9, 2011at First Baptist Church of Springfield.

Interment: Union Cemetery.
