Mrs. Bernice Doyle Martin, 90, of Port Wentworth, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at her home.

She was born in Screven County to the late Sam and Linnie Bragg Doyle.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, C.M. Martin, and two sons, Jady and Jimmy  Sheets.  She was a member of Living Faith Church of God, formerly the Garden City Church of God.  She retried from Tetley Tea and also was a teacher at EOA Headstart.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bernie and Kimberly Sheets, Lawrence and Raina Martin; four grandchildren, Ashley Sheets, Christina Asbury (Chip), Matthew Martin and Jamison Martin (Rebecca); two great-grandchildren, Cadillac Sheets (Brittany) and Moriah Martin; two great-great-grandchildren, Jaxson Sheets and Maverick Sheets; brother, Sammy Doyle, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at Living Faith Church of God located at 3789 Noel C. Conaway Road, Guyton, GA.  The funeral will follow at 12 noon in the sanctuary with Pastor Sean Faircloth, Pastor Gwin Jarriel and Mr. Larry Purcell officiating.  The pallbearers will be Doug Sahlberg, Doug Denison, Mark Turner, Franky LaGrand, Kevin Pittman, and Brian Hood.  The honorary pallbearers will be Tony Wilson, Buddy Wilson, and Franky LaGrand.  Burial will follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
